Joining the Rodgers Team has never made more sense:
According to a recent survey conducted by the Ministry of Transportation and Statistics Canada, the trucking industry is one of Ontario’s largest employers providing jobs for over 230,000 people (5% of Ontario’s labour force). Transportation is an essential service to the operation of many other industries that require their goods to be transported to market. It creates a spin-off effect in generating other employment such as shipping, receiving, mechanics, administration, computer operators, etc., in not only the transportation industry, but in manufacturing, distribution and retail.
With the Canadian economy restructuring to become globally competitive, organizations are implementing “just-in-time” delivery of goods to keep their inventory to efficient levels. Companies like GM receive 1,000 trucks per day. The Eaton Center receives 300 trucks per day. Hospitals, food companies and gas stations keep only a 2 to 15 day supply of goods and depend on the trucking industry to replenish their inventories on a regular basis.
Presently there are an average of 700,000 deliveries daily, in and out of Toronto. Trucks carry 70% of all imports from the U.S. generating 24 billion dollars into the Ontario economy every year. Forecasts indicate that the trucking industry will continue to grow to meet the increased demand for service brought about by Free Trade, regional manufacturing, and our highly diversified economic base.

The Rodgers team speaks for itself:
Years of experience have told us that you can’t possibly learn to drive a commercial tractor in 24 hours and be ready for the road. That’s why our program for beginners is45 hours, one on one in-truck training. New drivers will spend several hours between being in the truck and learning everything you are expected to know about driving one.
That’s a long road. We don’t cut corners and we don’t accept everyone. Making the decision to become a professional driver is a good one. Starting off at Rodgers is a good decision as well.
